Understand the system, not just the screen.
A clean interface can sit on top of a fragile process. We start by mapping the people, data and constraints around the product, then decide what software should do and what it should leave alone.
Weimang Topology is a software development studio in Chongqing, China. We design and build AI applications, data platforms, network services and mobile products for organisations that depend on software in the real world.
Small by design. Cross-disciplinary by necessity. We take on work where the problem is worth understanding before it is worth coding.
Weimang Topology was established in 2026 as an individually owned software studio in Liangjiang New Area. It was formed around a simple observation: most difficult software problems are not interface problems. They are problems of coordination — between people, data, devices, networks and the constraints of the place where the work happens.
Our practice brings software engineering, applied AI, network technology and data services into one team. That range matters when a product has to work offline, explain its output, survive an unreliable connection or hand clean data to the next system. We prefer to understand the whole system before we choose the part that software should own.
We are deliberately small. The people who scope the work stay close to the people who build and operate it. We take fewer projects so that each one gets a coherent architecture, a written data boundary and a clean handover.
Three principles shape the way we scope, build and hand over software.
A clean interface can sit on top of a fragile process. We start by mapping the people, data and constraints around the product, then decide what software should do and what it should leave alone.
Every product we build has a written answer to three questions: what data is collected, where it goes and how it is removed. Privacy is an engineering constraint, not a paragraph added at the end.
Shipping is the start of the maintenance period. We leave behind tests, documentation, monitoring and a release process that another engineer can operate without reverse-engineering the original team's assumptions.
Four service lines, delivered as one engineering practice. Each engagement starts with the system, not a predetermined stack.
Product definition, architecture, Android and web clients, APIs and release operations, built as one system.
Applied language and vision systems with evaluation, guardrails and a human fallback.
Offline-first sync, field diagnostics, protocol integration and telemetry that survives real conditions.
Ingestion, modelling, quality controls and analytics interfaces that make operational data trustworthy.
The shape of an engagement is deliberately simple. Each phase ends with something the client can inspect and use.
We map the system before we build it: the people involved, the constraints, the riskiest assumption and the measure of success.

The smallest version that answers the hardest question. It may be a clickable flow, a data model or a technical spike, but it has a decision attached.

Production from the first commit: architecture, automated tests, security review, accessibility checks and a release pipeline that can be repeated.

Software is a service, not a delivery. We monitor it, fix what the real world reveals, document the runbook and hand over cleanly when the time comes.

Chongqing is built across rivers, ridges and steep ground. Bridges carry rail lines, roads stack above one another, and connectivity changes from street to street. Living with that complexity makes certain engineering questions concrete: what happens when the network disappears, how a system recovers, and how data stays trustworthy when it cannot be sent immediately.
Those questions sit behind our Android products and much of our client work. The city is not a backdrop for the studio; it is a useful reference for the conditions software has to survive.
